Brief Description: Autopilot, display and lighting connected
I headed to Stoney Creek Airport for some more final assembly work today. The first task though when I arrived was to dismantle the wing cradle so I could take the pieces home and clear out the space in the hangar. With that task out of the way I stirpped the wiring for the autopilot roll servo, crimped on D-sub connector pins, assembled the connector body and attached the connector to the servo. Next I set to work installing the dedicated EFIS I received from Advanced Flight Systems the other day. Once screwed to the panel the display still required the case ground attached, the main harness connector attached, the pitot and static lines attached, a fuse put in the fuse block for electrical power and the dual display configuration interconnecting ethernet cable installed. Once everything was connected I energized the electical system and watched all equipment start up including the new display. With the display installed I continued with electrical hook ups. First I hooked up both the landing and taxi lights and tested the operation for both the steady on and wing wag position. Lastly I began hooking up the navigation lights. The left navigation light hook up is complete and the right side is started.
